Experience the magic of Saanich Inlet through the eyes of local artists: paintings, tapestries, sculptures and more, evocative of the beauty and fragility of the water and its watershed.

Join us for an evening of art, food, wine, and live music - featuring piano by local musician Patrick Godfrey - with an opportunity to view the artwork and talk to the artists.

The Art Show will include a talk by renowned Kwakiutl artist Dr. Richard Hunt, “Kwakwaka’wakw”, at 7pm. A recipient of the Order of Canada, Dr. Hunt’s family has been at the centre of traditional ceremonial life and carving for generations, and were largely responsible for the rebirth of Northwest Coast Indian art. A multi-award winning artist, his totem poles, masks, rattles, and prints are in private collections and museums throughout North America and Europe.

Raffle tickets for signed and framed prints by Robert Bateman and Mark Hobson will be on sale for $5 each. Art pieces will also be for sale, with proceeds shared by the artist and organizations dedicated to the protection of Saanich Inlet and its ecosystems.
